Hospitals: Chambers county has one hospital located in Valley. The Lanier Memorial Hospital is a 115 bed facility with 45 physicians on staff, and has a newly renovated and modernized emergency room.

East Alabama Medical Center located in Opelika is approximately 30 minutes south of the Valley while West Georgia Medical Center is approximately 30 minutes north of the Valley. Additionally, The Medical Center, Doctors Hospital and St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA are approximately 45 minutes from the Valley.

Women's Services: Provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for you and your baby, from prenatal planning through birth. Lanier Women's Services team are experts in women's health care and midwifery. Focused on preventing problems and promoting good health, offers preconception counseling, complete pregnancy and delivery care. They will continue to help you with healthcare and contraception needs after the baby is born.

Nursing Homes: Chambers County has three (3) area nursing homes. Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley is a 93 resident facility and is adjacent to the hospital. Lanett Geriatrics (Lanett, AL) is a 75 resident facility, and Lafayette Nursing Home (Lafayette, AL) is a 53 resident facility with construction presently underway for an additional 10 units.

Assisted Living: Riverbend, an Assisted Living Facility, will open in the Spring, 2001. The facility will consist of 38 units with 54 beds and is situated on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Savannah Court (2) 16 unit facilities provides assisted living for the elderly which includes three (3) meals per day, laundry and housekeeping services, Sunday & Wednesday worship service, an activity room and a beauty/barber shop.

Dentistry: The area has three (3) dentists in Lanett, three (3) in Valley, one (1) in Lafayette, and four (4) in West Point. In addition an orthodontics and endodontics is also located in West Point.

Pharmacies: The area has ten (9) pharmacies, 1 in LaFayette, 4 in Lanett and 4 in Valley.

Eye Care Professionals: The Greater Valley area has four (4) optometrists, 1 in Lanett, 2 in Valley, and 1 in West Point.
