LaFayette Lanier Elementary in Valley and W.O. Lance Elementary in Lanett are both sending teams to the SAE Foundation’s JetToy Challenge Wednesday in Atlanta.

LaFAYETTE LANIER ELEMENTARY AWIM — LaFayette Lanier Elementary in Valley was one of the schools sending teams to the SAE Foundation’s JetToy Challenge Wednesday in Atlanta. Four-member teams built balloon-powered racers and competed for the best distance, accuracy and time. Team members above include, from left, Cameron Cotton, Cayden Cook and Lawton Lauderdale. The event was sponsored by Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia in West Point. More than 500 students attended the full-day event.
