AJIN earns Quality 5-Star Award
In a Thursday morning ceremony, officials from Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) commended Ajin USA on having earned one of the most prestigious awards that can go to an auto supplier, the Quality 5 Star Award. Approximately 40 company officials and Ajin team members attended the ceremony inside a conference room at Ajin's huge plant inside the Chambers County Industrial Park. Three years ago, Ajin set a goal of winning a four-star award. That was accomplished the next year, in 2013. The company then announced a 5 Star Challenge to win an even higher award, the 5 Star. This past December, KMMG announced that Ajin had met the rigorous standards to receive this highly prestigious award. Ajin's long-term goals are to become the leading body parts supplier to KMMG and to win the Grand 5 Star Achievement Award by the year 2020. This process will involve the six Ms: man, machine, method, material, measurement and morale. The three key elements in the 5 Star program are safety, quality and production. "By putting them all in place we hope to achieve Grand 5 Star recognition by the year 2020," a company official said Thursday.
