Lanett, Ala. – Chambers County Development Authority received a “Standard of Excellence” award in the 2012
Web Marketing Association’s WebAwards, an international competition designed to judge top websites. More
than 2,000 websites in 96 industry categories from 42 different countries were submitted. Chambers County
Development Authority’s website was entered in the Government category.
Designed by Decatur, Alabama web development firm Red Sage Communications, the website was judged on
the following criteria: design, copywriting, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of
technology. The site scored above average in all seven assessment areas.
"We are so thrilled and honored that our site was chosen to receive this award," said Valerie Gray of the
CCDA. "We love our website and have received a multitude compliments on it, but getting this award is
reaching another level.” “The Team at Red Sage, led by Ellen Didier, has been phenomenal to work with”,
stated Kimberly Fuller of the CCDA. “Keeping your community data current and relevant is a challenge for our
small staff, but working with professionals such as the Red Sage Team, make it easier for us.”
