Kimberly Carter (at center), community development specialist with the Chambers County Development Authority (CCDA), was the guest speaker at the Monday, October 5th meeting of the Valley Lions Club. She talked about this year's Farm-City Week celebration, which gets under way with an October 14th kickoff luncheon at the Langdale United Methodist Church. This year's Farm-City tour will be taking place on Friday, Oct. 16. One of the stops on the bus tour will be at the Indian Pow Wow in LaFayette. Anyone interested in participating should contact the CCDA office for reservations. Carter had a fun quiz about agriculture. It was entitled "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" While fifth graders such as Lawton Lauderdale (in front) could ace those questions, the adults in the crowd found some of them rather tricky.
