Process Development Corporation to Locate in Chambers County

on February 10, 2012

In November of 2011, Process Development Corporation visited the Chambers County Development Authority and inquired about available buildings in the area. Having specific criteria, the staff worked with a company representative for a few weeks until the final decision was made to start a new facility in Alabama. The Shawmut Mill facility in Valley, Alabama was chosen for the new location. The Shawmut Mill was formally a textile mill owned by Johnston Industries. It is currently under new ownership and partial redevelopment. Currently sixty five Chambers County citizens have been hired and plans of increasing that number in the future have been implemented. PDC currently has operations in Michigan, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, China, and Europe. The organization consists of five service areas which include engineering, quality services, contract personnel services, containment rework & sub assembly, training, and information services.
