Aside from industrial, commercial, and retail recruitment, the CCDA staff continues to stay involved through many aspects of the community. On October 3rd, the CCDA visited Huguley Elementary School's 5th grade to discuss with the students why community service is important. The staff listed ways the students, as 5th graders, could give back and get involved. This month, the students are required to choose one local charitable or non-profit organization and do a presentation on it. The goal is not only to educate the students on all of the opportunities that are available in Chambers County to volunteer at, but also to spark an interest in being a good community minded citizen. It is always an honor when the CCDA staff is asked to participate in these events.
